Benji Gregory, known for his role in the TV show ALF, has died at the age of 46.
On June 13, authorities found his body in his car parked at a Chase Bank in Peoria, Arizona.
TMZ reported that Gregory had likely visited the bank the day before to deposit checks and might have fallen asleep in his car.
It is suspected that Gregory died from vehicular heatstroke, with Arizona temperatures reaching 109 degrees on June 12.
His service dog, Hans, was also found dead in the car.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office stated that the official cause of death is still undetermined.
Gregory’s sister, Rebecca Hertzberg-Pfaffinger, told TMZ that he had been battling depression, bipolar disorder, and a severe sleep disorder.
Gregory became famous for playing Brian Tanner in ALF, a show about an alien named Gordon Shumway who crashed into the Tanner family's home.
ALF aired from 1986 to 1990, with Paul Fusco, co-creator of the series, playing the character of ALF.
In 2018, Warner Bros. planned to reboot ALF but later canceled it. This year, Shout! Factory acquired the rights and plans to create new content related to the series.
